Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd was established in October 1944. The Number of Employees is 34,090 in consolidated basis and 6,916 in Parent Co. basis. In 1962, Murata exported first plant. Then Murata opened New York Office in the next year. Murata reorganized into a marketing company and established Murata Electronics Singapore Ltd. in Singapore. In 1973 Murata established a production company in Georgia, U.S. and a marketing company in Hong Kong, China. In Nov. 

1975 Murata opened Europe Office. Murata acquired a production and marketing company (now Taiwan Murata Electronics Co., Ltd.) in Taiwan in 1978. In Dec. 1980, Murata Opened Seoul Branch in Seoul, Korea. Then it established a marketing company (now Murata Electronics (UK) Limited) in UK. In Apr. 1986, Murata established Murata Amaz?nia Indústria E Comércio Ltda., a production and marketing company in Brazil. In Jul. 1990, Murata established Murata World Comercial Ltda., a marketing company in Brazil. Then Murata established Murata Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., a production marketing company, Beijing Murata Electronics Co., Ltd., a production and marketing company, Wuxi Murata Electronics Co., Ltd., a production and marketing company, Murata Electronics Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a marketing company, in Shanghai. Murata established Design and Engineering Center in Murata (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Regional marketing Head Office and opened Representative Office of Murata Electronics Singapore (Pte.) Ltd. in 2007.
