Radionic Industries, Inc. was founded in 1939 and after 70 years is the oldest lighting ballast company in America.

Through its wide selection of magnetic and electronic ballasts for T5, T8, T12 and CFL applications, Radionic supplies ballasts to many industry leading OEM's in North America. Ballasts are available in multiple voltages, High Power Factor (HPF), Normal Power Factor (NPF), dedicated voltage (120V OR 277V) and universal voltage (120-277V). Radionic designs, engineers and tests all of its products in its UL certified lab in at its Chicago headquarters.

Radionic is the most stable, customer friendly and accessible ballast company. Since it was founded in 1939, there have been only two owners.

The present management purchased Radionic in 1972. Jeffrey B. Winton, President and Chief Executive Officer, has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and a Master's Degree in Industrial Relations also from the University of Illinois. Mr. Winton serves on numerous charitable boards throughout the Chicago area and is a member of many industry associations.

There are only six companies in the ballast industry in the United States, and Radionic is the only one that that still manufacture many of its ballasts in the USA. Its Competitors include Advance Transformer (Division of Philips), SLI (formerly Valmont and General Electric) and Universal/Magnetek/ULT (all of which manufacture in China or Mexico) and Robertson.
