FOUNDING OF ELECTRODEPOSITED ENGINEERED BELLOWS

Servometer? can look back on half a century of innovative bellows technology that began modestly when two engineers had an idea to create a new servometer. Although, the product concept was short lived the name, Servometer? stuck.

Then in 1957 these two engineers, Morris Holowachuk and Frederick Kelly, decided to commit their knowledge and experience to developing a unique method to manufacture miniature metal bellows. These ultra-precise electrodeposited bellows would soon become Servometer’s core product.

They soon patented their hallmark technology and began manufacturing in 1962, from a small factory in Passaic, NJ and then to larger accommodations in the neighboring town of Clifton, NJ. The company continued to grow and expand, and in 1974 moved to its current location in Cedar Grove, New Jersey.

In 2007 Servometer? acquired BellowsTech, LLC of Ormond Beach, Florida, a premier manufacturer of edge welded bellows and bellows assemblies, encompassing a wide array of alloys and dimensional configurations.

As one united team, their technologies complement each other in size, compatibility, pressure and temperature limitations without sacrificing performance. This cross-over of engineering ability adds value and experience to ensure customers utilize the right technology for their applications.
