IMI Sensors - PCB Piezotronics

PCB Piezotronics was founded in 1967 as a manufacturer of piezoelectric quartz sensors, accelerometers, and associated electronics for the measurement of dynamic pressure, force, and vibration. The unique expertise of the company was the incorporation of microelectronic signal conditioning circuitry within these sensors to make them easier to use and more environmentally compatible. These ICP? sensors gained wide popularity and became the foundation for the company's success.
Subsequent growth and steady investment in facilities, machinery, and equipment permitted a constant broadening of the product offering. Measurement capabilities expanded with the addition of piezoceramic, tourmaline, capacitive, piezoresistive, and strain gage sensing technologies. Ensuing products include industrial accelerometers, DC accelerometers, load cells, torque sensors, microphones, pressure transmitters, and calibration equipment.

The backbone of the company is its mission statement: Total Customer Satisfaction. This mission is not only supported by products that offer great value, but also backed by their industry exclusive Lifetime Warranty Plus. Factory applications engineering and a worldwide network of sales offices and representatives are readily available to assist with customer requests.

IMI Sensors, a division of PCB Piezotronics, is a global designer and manufacturer of industrial vibration monitoring instrumentation such as accelerometers, vibration transmitters and switches.  These industrial sensors are used to spot imbalance, bearing faults and misalignment by measuring machine vibration, providing early fault diagnosis thus reducing downtime. their vast product line interfaces directly with data acquisition equipment including online systems and handheld data collectors.

They offer a full line of piezoelectric accelerometers, velocity sensors, dual output vibration sensors, 4-20 mA vibration transmitters, switches, relays, cables, displays and accessories. Virtually all of their products are certified for use in hazardous areas through CSA and ATEX. They are proud to state that their products are made in the USA and backed by their Total Customer Satisfaction policy.

History

PCB Piezotronics, Inc. was established in August of 1967 by Robert W. Lally and James F. Lally.  The focus of their technical efforts was primarily on the development and application of integrated circuit technology to piezoelectric sensors.  Beginning with the creation of sensors to measure cylinder combustion pressure, PCB's product line quickly expanded to include vibration and force sensors.
